On April 17, OpenAI announced that its ChatGPT user demographics have undergone a historic change. When ChatGPT was launched in 2022, the user base was approximately 80% male and 20% female. Currently, the proportion of female users has surpassed that of male users, exceeding 50%.

According to the reported weekly active user count, this means that nearly 500 million women are regularly using the tool, with the total number of ChatGPT users approaching 1 billion.

Computing power has become a key factor in the success of AI. OpenAI’s available computing power has increased from 0.2 gigawatts in 2023 to about 1.9 gigawatts by 2025, representing an annual growth of approximately three times. The company is heavily investing in infrastructure and has signed agreements for over 30 gigawatts of power with partners like NVIDIA, aiming to achieve 30 gigawatts of computing power by 2030.
